The Age of the Conquest
The fascination of Greek art in Rome.
The five-year project I Giorni di Roma (Rome's days) opens with a great exhibition of masterpieces from the ancient age, coming from the most important European museums, and dating back to the period after the Greek conquest campaigns (from the end of 3rd century BC to the second half of the 1st century BC). This was one of the moct crucial periods for the future cultural and artistic identity of Rome, not only in the Republican age.

Artist's cuts : a one-century story

The story of a soul. Images and memories from Olivia Cushing's journal (1871-1917)
The H. C. Andersen museum will be hosting for the next months the exhibition "Storia di un�anima. Immagini e memorie dal Diario di Olivia Cushing (1871-1917)" (The story of a soul. Images and memories from Olivia Cushing's journal). The exhibition uncovers, through paintings, photos and texts from her journal, the moving story of Olivia Cushing Andersen and of her relationship with the Andersen's family.

Rome's ancient and modern wonders
The 15th century halls on the groundfloor of Palazzo Venezia are hosting this exhibition of views, reconstructions and projects coming from the collection of the Library of Archaeology and History of Art, which includes the masterpieces of ancient drawing arts dating from the 16th until the end of the 18th centuries.

William Klein. Rome's pictures 1956-1960
In 1956 the young photographer William Klein was invited to Rome by film director Federico Fellini to help him with his new film "Le notti di Cabiria". Klein spent some time in Rome with his camera, going around with exceptional guides such as Fellini, Flaiano, Pasolini, Moravia. In the magic atmosphere of the 50's The American photographer created a unique fresco of the city.
His pictures are on exhibit at the Mercati di Traiano - Museo of the Fori Imperiali

Secret Rome from A to Z
The municipality of Rome is supporting a number of initiatives that aim at promoting the city's artistic and cultural patrimony.
Roma Segreta dalla A alla Z is the reault of a strict selection of the most interesting projects for educational and cultural activities organised in many different areas of the city.
Out of more than 50 proposals, only 17 have been chosen, all of them proposed by associations and groups operating in the archaeological sector.
